Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information BuildGUI (buildgui.com, the "Service") collects and how it is used. We keep data collection to a minimum.

1. Information we collect

Generation prompts. When you generate a GUI, the text prompt you enter is sent to a third-party AI provider so it can produce the GUI specification. We do not require you to include personal information in prompts, and we recommend you don't.
No account for the free plan. The free plan does not require sign-up, and we do not collect names, passwords, or profiles to use it.
Purchase information (Pro only). When you buy BuildGUI Pro, payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects your billing details directly; we never see or store your full card information. We receive limited order data such as your email, order ID, and license key to deliver and validate your subscription.
License key. If you activate Pro, your license key is stored locally in your browser so the Service stays unlocked on your device. It is sent to Lemon Squeezy only to validate the subscription.
Basic analytics. We use privacy-friendly Cloudflare analytics to understand aggregate traffic. This does not use cross-site tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.

2. How we use information

We use the limited information above only to: provide and operate the Service, generate the output you request, deliver and validate Pro subscriptions, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure and working.

3. Third parties we rely on

Lemon Squeezy — payments and subscription management (Merchant of Record).
A third-party AI provider — processes your prompt to generate the GUI specification.
Cloudflare — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising on the Service.

4. Cookies and local storage

BuildGUI does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your Pro license key on your device. Clearing your browser storage will remove it.

5. Data retention

We keep order and license records for as long as needed to provide your subscription and meet legal and accounting requirements. Prompts are processed to generate your output and are not used to build a profile of you.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, or deletion of, the limited personal data we hold about you (such as order records) by emailing [email protected]. For payment data held by Lemon Squeezy, please also refer to their privacy policy.

7. Children

BuildGUI is a developer tool intended for game creators and is not directed to children under 13. Purchases of BuildGUI Pro must be made by an adult or with the consent of a parent or guardian.

8. International users

The Service is operated with global infrastructure, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own by the third parties listed above. By using the Service you consent to this processing.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
